Working Your Biz

Keeping yourself on track is an important part to succeeding in your business! Not only should you plan your working time, you should also include household and fun activities into your day.

Don't feel like you need to overburden yourself with hours and hours of work. Sometimes setting just 1 goal, like book a party, talk to 5 people, set up a fundraiser, or send out 10 resumes will help you move forward.

The key here is consistancy. Even your house can be overwhelming! Schedule a simple task each day, like vacuuming. When you stay consistant, you can enjoy life and success.

Success!

Success is in your hands!

You may have heard this before, but it is so true, here is what you need to reach success:

P = PASSION: Are you passionate about what you do? Do you find yourself wanting to get out there and sharing what you have with others?

A = ATTITUDE: Your attitude is very important in your success. How can you succeed if you start out with a mind set of failing? Believe in yourself first! You can make it happen!

P = PATIENCE: Success takes time! Don't give up so quickly. Trump did not become a billionaire overnight. He had failures and set backs. Give yourself, and your business, time!

P = PERSERVERANCE: How easily are you going to give up? It is easy to quit when someone says "no", but those who success brush it off as a temporary setback.

P = PERSISTANCE: Again, you won't succeed if you don't try, try and try again.

F = FOLLOW-UP: One reason so many fail is because they forget to follow-up. This also falls into Persistance. Don't give up so easily.

E = EGO: Get rid of it! When someone says "no", it's not about you. Your ego can get in the way in your success. Often we think everything is because of us. Often a "no" has a reason that has nothing to do with you. Another way your "ego" can get in the way is when you begin to succeed. If you focus on "you" instead of your team and customers, you will watch your business slide.

V = VISION: Can you picture yourself successful? Do you know what you want to do? Create a vision and keep it in front of you at all times!

Take all the above into consideration when working towards success! You can, and WILL, achieve it!

5 Calls a Day to Success

When I was focused on promoting, my upline said 5 calls a day. That means, 5 connected calls. Other variations include 20 Dials (dial 20 numbers then you are done), or One a Day (Accomplish one thing each day to build your business).

To know who to call, always have more then 5 people to call. Know for sure who you want to reach AND why, but have others to call as well.

You do not need to call them all at once, however, they do need to be made during the day. For some of us who have a busy life, or who are a mom trying to put our kids first, we don't have a chunk of time or power hour.

Take advantage of:

  • Naps
  • Spouse time (My DH gave bathes when the boys were younger and I was locked in my office on the phone)
  • Sesame Street time
  • Favorite toy time
  • Craft time (if it's not too messy)
  • Favorite movie

CHILDREN

Always reward your child for letting you work. Show them you working is a positive. That is why it is important to spend family time every day.

I am inspired by Discovery Toys Sales Director Krista Jiroutek, who while working to promote always took found time for her kids. She'd make her calls and leave a message for her team that she was at the park and would call them when she got home.

YOUR SPOUSE

And most importantly, don't ignore your spouse. A supportive spouse is one who feels involved. Include them in your scheduling. Ask them when they want your 100% attention. Schedule date nights and pay with your earnings. Cuddle up in front of the TV. Let them pick out a movie. Cook dinner once in a while (even if it's once a month). It's easy for them to feel ignored. An unhappy spouse will make it hard for you to work your business the way you need to.
