If you love to draw and decorate, use your artistic skill to help bring a child's room to life! Art work can include: full wall coverage, borders, shapes & decorations, and portraits.
Market to: New moms, those building new homes, churches & preschools.
Price: Charge per time or per wall. A full wall could go for $200 - $1000 depending on where you live and how much detail you include.
Getting started: Ask around and look online for others who do children's artwork. Ask them for price lists. Once you have an idea of how much you plan to charge, go around and introduce yourself to decorators. Don't forget to share info with OB offices, children's fairs, churches and daycares. Offer a $10 referral fee for daycares when one of their customers works with you.
Other: Remember, look at how much paint and materials will cost and include it in the price with your time.
Driveway Painting
Use your talent to paint logos, teams, or favorite charactors at the bottom of driveways and on sidewalks. You can offer it as a fundraiser idea for schools and sports teams.
Personal Portraits
Help a family catch the moment in their very own portrait of a valued family member. Offer sitting fees. Many artists now take pictures so the subject being painted doesn't have to stay there the whole time.
